emissions.
This ensures optimum use of all solar electricity generated with any remaining energy flowing back to the grid. The energy generated can either be used to power appliances directly, stored in batteries, or sent back to the power grid for distribution to other places.
Installing your solar PV system
Installing the panels will be done to the highest standard. A tutorial will follow so that you feel comforta-ble with Solar PV.
All buildings constructed and occupied by 2021 or earlier are eligible.
When we install the Solar battery in your home, it is usually placed as close to the main electrical distri-bution board as possible. The location will be agreed beforehand with the homeowner. Installation typi-cally takes one day to complete. Most of the work will be in the area of the distribution board, minimizing any disruption.
If a thorough examination is required, a second inspection might be necessary.
We can install your PV system.
All the documentation related to your installation will be sent to you.
When all documentation has been uploaded and the BER certificate has
This grant is based on the date the electricity meter was installed, and it is different from other grants where the home must have been constructed before 2011.
SEAI Grants help businesses, homeowners, communities and large industry reduce their energy con-sumption and greenhouse gases.
You can expect to pay around EUR6,500 for one of our PV solar systems. But the solar expert who con-ducts your property assessment will be in a position to give you specific advice based upon your circum-stances.
Below we've laid out an estimation of potential annual savings and payback periods for solar panel in-stallations.
*An average solar PV system can save over 58% per year on electricity, based on an average consump-tion of a house being 4723kWh/units. 8 x solar PV panels or 3.24kWp will generate approx. 2757.5 units per year 3054kWh/units.
Construction and occupancy before 2021 is eligible.
The size and type of a microgeneration system (a typical installation consisting of 10 panels)
The payment is in the form a credit to your electric bill, reflecting your microgeneration output in that time period.
We are engaging with schools across Ireland and changing the way communities think about energy.
2,400 The amount you get depends on the system size you have installed, measured by your solar panel's peak power output (in kW / kWp). 2,400 is the maximum grant. Larger installations still get this amount. Other things you get installed (such as batteries and immersion diverters) do not effect the amount of the grant.
Savings from solar panels can vary greatly depending on several factors. On average, homeowners in Ireland could save around 200-400 annually on electricity bills. It's important to note that savings will depend on factors such as solar panel efficiency, energy consumption, and sunlight exposure. 8 Feb 2023
around 10,000 - 12,000 The average cost of a 5kW photovoltaic system in Ireland is around 10,000 - 12,000. This includes the cost of the solar panels, equipment, and installation. However, it's important to note that this is just a rough estimate, and the final price will depend on the specific factors mentioned above. 29 Jan 2023
